CEREVANCE-Centre of reference for autoimmune cytopenia in children

The national centre of reference for “autoimmune cytopenia in children” started work in January 2008. It is coordinated in Bordeaux, under the aegis of the Society of pediatric hematology and immunology “SHIP”. It relies on the pediatric hematology teams of the university hospital of each region.
At national level, CEREVANCE carries out consultant missions for autoimmune cytopenia in children (hemolytic anemia and autoimmune cytopenia, Evans syndrome), coordinates the writing and dissemination of consensual documents to help diagnose these pathologies, as well as treatment recommendations, and organises annual training meetings based on current studies, the latest bibliography and difficult cases.
Patients are given assistance with access to treatment through the identification of a specialised pediatric care network in each region (30 competence centres in university hospitals, in association with the region’s CHG).
